Becoming an RCIA Sponsor

Consider sharing the journey of faith by sponsoring an adult (or child/teen) who wishes to join our Catholic community through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) program.

A sponsor is an active Catholic that is willing to be a companion to someone going through the RCIA process. As they get acquainted they listen, answer questions, pray together, and connect their person with the parish.

Sponsors are not expected to have all the answers. Their main role is to be a friend and companion on the journey.

Sponsors find their role to be one that enriches and deepens their own faith and is a very rewarding experience.  Sponsors often feel that they learn so much more about themselves and our faith after taking this journey with another person.
